There isn’t a chef on the planet who doesn’t aim for the stars.
The combination of innovation and taste is nothing new for Lavazza. Our Chef Ambassadors often dedicate new dishes and recipes to the ventures we believe in, the ones which we actively support.
Indeed, our most difficult mission of them all could not go by unnoticed: sending coffee into orbit with ISSpresso. To this successful experiment were dedicated recipes designed by Pietro Leemann, famous for his high-end vegetarian cuisine; Davide Oldani, a Michelin-starred chef with a passion for humble raw materials; and Dennis Zoppi, the renowned cocktail designer.
“Solaris” is Leeman’s creation, an ode to the sun, transforming it from symbol to substance.
A refreshing aspic of summer vegetables with tapioca, a carrot and orange sauce and melon sorbet.
In “Saturno”, Oldani’s dish,
toasted seeds, coffee powder and freeze-dried red fruits enhance the Carnaroli rice creamed, with butter, Grana Padano cheese and vinegar.
All finished off with “Galattico”, a cocktail served in a floating glass.
It is made with coffee distillate, cordiale erba, clarified carrot extract, spirulina foam or quinoa seeds and, finally, vaporised with coffee.
Three different interpretations, one single objective:
a celebration of “Coffee in space”.
