Our solidarity is with all people affected by the devastating war in Ukraine. We are deeply saddened and shocked by what is happening.
We have already suspended all our operations in Russia.
We have been working right from the start of this emergency to help those affected by the conflict. The Lavazza Foundation has set aside an initial donation of 500,000 euros, which are being distributed to various NGOs we have collaborated with in the past. Right now, we are financing distinct initiatives to address specific needs.
We have also facilitated contacts among various NGOs, to better coordinate activities that are taking place on field and to maximize efforts without duplicating interventions.
In particular, we are distributing our contribution through Save the Children, INTERSOS, CESVI, Comunità di Sant’Egidio, Rainbow 4 Africa, Soleterre Onlus and SOS Italia Villaggi dei Bambini.
We are donating coffee and tea products through Italian NGOs bound for countries which are receiving refugees and through our colleagues in Poland, who will be donating products to local organizations engaged in helping refugees.
Eventually, for our collaborators who wish to do so, it will be possible to devote some hours of their work to the emergency. The amount raised will be doubled and managed by the various Group companies and devolved to UNICEF.
