Antonio Baravalle
Chief Executive Officer

After studying biology at university, Antonio completed a Master’s in Business Administration and began his professional career in the marketing and sales department at Diageo (1992).

 

In 1999, he moved to Fiat Group, where he gained important professional experience. In 2003, he was appointed Vice President Marketing for the Alfa Romeo brand and, in 2004, CEO of Lancia, before becoming Alfa Romeo CEO in 2005. 

 

He left Fiat Group in 2008 to take up the post of CEO at publisher Giulio Einaudi Editore (Mondadori Group). In 2010, he was also appointed General Educational Manager at Mondadori and CEO at Mondadori Electa.

 

Since 2011, he has been CEO of Luigi Lavazza S.p.A., leading the Group's drive for growth and internationalization, a process in which he has played a leading role over the years.

Enrico Cavatorta
Chief Financial & Corporate Officer

In 1985, Enrico began his professional career in the Finance and Control Office at Procter & Gamble Italy, where he remained until 1993. After gaining three years’ experience as a consultant for McKinsey & Co., during which he worked on various strategic projects, in 1996 he joined Piaggio as head of Group Planning and Control.

 

In 1999, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Luxottica Group, where he stayed for 15 years in positions of increasing responsibility, becoming General Manager and then CEO for Corporate Functions. After this important experience, he joined fashion retail group Yoox-Net a Porter as Chief Financial and Corporate Officer.

 

In 2019, he moved to Lavazza Group in the same capacity.

 

In 2020, he joined the Board of Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. as executive director.

Carlo Colpo
Chief Marketing Officer

After graduating in Public Relations and Advertising from IULM University in Milan, Carlo completed executive education programs at MIT Sloan Executive Education.

 

He began his career in 2005 at Fiat Auto as Brand Promotion Manager. In the following years, he held roles of increasing responsibility within the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group, including PR Manager for Lancia and Advertising Manager for Alfa Romeo. In 2010, he moved to Detroit to oversee the launch of the Fiat 500 in the United States.

 

In 2011, he took on responsibility for marketing communication for the Jeep brand and later for Fiat and Abarth in the EMEA region, leading repositioning projects and international campaigns.

 

In 2016, he joined the Lavazza Group as Global Head of Advertising & Media, later becoming Marketing Communication Director in 2018 and, from 2020, also Brand Home Director.

 

Since September 2025, he is Chief Marketing Officer of the Lavazza Group.

Enrico Contini
Chief Human Resources Officer

After graduating in law with a specialization in labour law, Enrico began his professional career in Eni Group, followed by almost 18 years at Unilever Italy. Here, after a career both in Italy and abroad, he was appointed National HR Director, becoming a board director and a member of the HR Executive board in Europe.

 

After a stint at Il Sole 24 Ore, he moved to the fashion sector, first in Miroglio and then, in 2013, in Guccio Gucci S.p.A. as Worldwide HR Director, working in business environments undergoing organizational transformation and expanding on international markets.

 

Since May 2017, he has been Chief Human Resources Officer at Lavazza Group.

Maurizio Cozzolino
ECS Chief Executive Officer

With a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Maurizio continued to further his education over the years with the Corporate Finance Executive Program at the same University and the Strategic Marketing Executive Program at INSEAD Business School. He began his career in the Ice Cream and Frozen Foods division at Unilever Italy and then moved to Coca-Cola HBC Italy in 2006, where he worked for 10 years and became Sales Manager for the Out of Home and Retail channels.

 


In 2016 he joined Lavazza Group as Out of Home Manager for Italy, where he was subsequently appointed Country Manager. He then embarked on an important international experience when in 2019 he was made Regional Director of France, Iberia and Benelux. In this role, he completed the integration of the Carte Noire brand and defined new routes to market for the Carte Noire and Lavazza brands.

 


In May 2023, Maurizio became CEO of E-Coffee Solutions, the Group’s new division that operates in the OCS/Vending and E-Commerce area through Lavazza Professional and MaxiCoffee in France, UK, Germany and Italy, with a mandate to make Lavazza Group an omni-channel business leader in Europe.

Pietro Maurizio Decio Fino
Chief Operations Officer

After completing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics and Automation from the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Maurizio continued his education through various international leadership programs.

 

He began his professional career at the SKF Group, working in Quality. He then developed his career in Operations, managing two plants. In 2018, he became Operations Director of the global Automotive business unit, overseeing 12 plants across three continents, with more than 4,000 employees.

 

In 2022, Maurizio embraced the challenge of a radical industry change, joining the Lavazza Group as Director of Manufacturing, Engineering, and Industrial Development. In this new role, he took responsibility for global production operations, process engineering, and industrial development, managing plants in Italy and abroad and leading a team of 25 people.

 

In 2024, he assumed the role of Chief Operations Officer of the Lavazza Group.

Mauro Mantovani
Chief Commercial Officer

After graduating in economics and commerce, with a specialization in marketing, at Cattolica University in Milan, Mauro began his professional career in Unilever Italy’s commercial and marketing office, before moving to the Marketing Customer Management office at corporate HQ in the Netherlands.

 

In 2002, he joined the commercial office of Ferrero Italy, where he gained experience in positions of increasing responsibility before becoming General Manager South East Asia at Singapore-based Ferrero Asia.

 

In 2013, he moved to Mondelez International as Multi-Category Director Asia.

 

In early 2014, he joined Lavazza Group as Group Chief Commercial Officer, a post he continues to hold today.

Pietro Mazzà
Chief Innovation, Sustainability & Institutional Relations Officer

After graduating in Mechanical Engineering, Pietro began his professional career in the Automotive sector at Fiat Gra.de., part of the Fiat Group. He started an international and cross-functional growth path in Switzerland, at Iveco in St. Gallen, and then continued at CNH in Paris. In 2002, he joined Alfa Romeo in Turin as Brand Manager, a role he held until 2005, when he decided to move back to France as Business Manager at Renault in Paris. In 2007, he returned to the Fiat Group in the Product Marketing area as Head of Small Cars.

 

In 2012, he embraced a new professional challenge in the Food & Beverage sector, joining Nespresso in Lausanne as Product Marketing Manager, leading various development projects for coffee machines.

 

In 2015, he joined the Lavazza Group as Head of Single Serve Marketing. In the following years, he held roles of increasing responsibility, including Global Head of Marketing Roast & Ground and Single Serve, and more recently General Manager UK and Regional Director UK and Nordics.

 

In 2023, he became General Manager of Carte Noire and Lavazza France, based in Paris, as well as Regional Director for France and Benelux.

 

Since September 2025, he is Chief Innovation, Sustainability & Institutional Relations Officer for the Lavazza Group.

Simona Musso
Chief Legal Officer – General Counsel

After graduating in law from the University of Turin, Simona practised for several years at a well-known Turin law firm before joining Lavazza Group in 1996 as Legal Counsel.

 

In 2001, she became General Counsel, reporting directly to the CEO and in charge of the Group Legal and Corporate Affairs Team at headquarters in Turin, as well as coordinating the legal teams of foreign subsidiaries.

She is responsible for compliance across the entire group and for the corporate obligations of Italian and foreign subsidiaries, as well as acting as Secretary at Meetings of the Board of Directors.

 

Since 2017, she has worked with ESCP as Visiting Professor of International Business Law & Food Regulations (MSC in Food & Beverage Management) and with Turin University’s Institute of European Studies.

Gabriella Ruggieri
Chief Quality & Procurement Officer

After graduating in electronic engineering, with a specialization in telecommunications, at Università Politecnica delle Marche, Gabriella began her career at Fiat Group in 1996, where she worked in various departments for 23 years.

 

After serving as a UTE Quality Auditor and Technologist in the Manufacturing area, she moved to Style, as Interiors Project Manager, and then to Purchasing, in a career that led to her becoming first Senior Buyer Interiors and then head of Supplier Quality Electrical & Electronics, before being appointed Supplier Quality Director at GM FIAT Worldwide Purchasing.

 

She worked in FCA Quality for over eight years (quality manager for segments A, B and L0) and, in her final years at FCA Group, was Head of Cost Engineering EMEA and lastly Global Head of Planning, Methods & Cost Control, with global responsibility for Target Costing, Should Cost Analysis and Value Optimization for all the Group’s vehicles.

 

In 2018, she joined Lavazza Group as Chief Quality & Procurement Officer.

Fabio Scaltritti
Chief R&D Officer

Fabio graduated in mechanical engineering at Politecnico di Milano, where he also completed a Master’s in Business Administration.

 

After working in product engineering, Fabio joined Whirlpool Corporation, initially as a production manager and then as EMEA Refrigeration Product Engineering Director.

His next assignment was to manage the Cassinetta plants and guide the transformation of the facility in line with the company’s new mission.

 

From 2015 to 2017, he was President of Whirlpool Poland and Senior Director of the Wroclaw (Poland) facility, where he managed the Indesit integration under the industrial plan.

 

He joined Lavazza Group in November 2017 as Coffee Machine Development and Production Director and was appointed Group Chief R&D Officer in January 2020.

Paola Francesca Scarpa
Chief Digital Transformation Officer

After graduating in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Paola has continuously expanded her education over the years with high-level programs at Harvard Business School, Deloitte Next Gen CEO training, the ICF coach course, and leadership and board readiness programs.

 

She began her career in 1993 at Monitor Company Inc. as Manager and Project Leader, developing projects for TIM in the areas of marketing and strategy. In 1999, she joined Vodafone, taking on roles of increasing responsibility: Head of Organization (HR Division), Head of Marketing Mobile Commerce, Head of Data Channels, working with technology partners and managing innovative projects in the telco sector.

 

From 2007 to 2022, she worked at Google Italy, holding key positions including Strategic Partnership Senior Manager, Industry Leader for Tech & Telco, Media & Entertainment, and Brand Sector Leader, which allowed her to expand her responsibility for supporting digital transformation to companies in the FMCG and Automotive sectors. In 2021, she became Managing Director Client Solutions, Data & Insights, overseeing the definition and execution of business strategies for the entire Italian market.

 

In 2022, she joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as Managing Director & Partner, where she led digital transformation projects with a particular focus on data-driven strategies, AI, and GenAI.

 

She has held external roles as Board Member at Progressio SGR and Banca d’Asti, served on the HumanTech Scientific Committee at Politecnico di Milano, and was part of the Advisory Board for the Women’s Forum G20 and the Alumni Executive Committee of Politecnico di Milano.

 

As of September 2025, she joins the Lavazza Group as Chief Digital Transformation Officer.
