Lavazza partners with the Italy Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020: Blend for Better time is here

On 1st October, as Platinum Sponsor of the Italian Pavilion, Lavazza will make its debut at EXPO Dubai 2020, where it will be present for the entire duration of the event, to help spread the excellence of sustainable and innovative Made in Italy. A rich programme of meetings and initiatives will be organized by Lavazza during the six months of the event, starting with its cafeteria, designed by Carlo Ratti Associati in the Italian Stand for Expo Dubai. Here, visitors will be offered a "Sustainable Coffee Experience", a truly sustainable coffee experience, thanks to the washed Arabica blends in the new Lavazza ¡Tierra! range, fine coffee that respects nature and local cultures, from 100% sustainable agriculture and certified by the Rainforest Alliance NGO, prepared with the "Solar Moka", a human-sized moka coffee maker, inspired by the principles of the circular economy and powered by solar energy.

Blend for Better: a future with deep roots

 

The partnership with the Commissariat for Italy's participation in Expo Dubai is part of the business and sustainability strategy of the Lavazza Group, which has long since embarked on a path of development, on the one hand integrated into the company's processes and activities, and on the other implemented by the non-profit Giuseppe and Pericle Lavazza Foundation. «Coffee is a product of the land» - Carlo Colpo, Group Marketing Communication Director & Brand Home affirms, «and the company is very close to nature and it aims at safeguarding the planet. Sustainability and CSR have been part of our projects for many years; we are continuing along a path that began a while ago and that we are now telling through Blend for Better, a dedicated communication platform that embodies our commitment as a company and through the strength of our brands, to generate shared value for society, people and the environment».

 

Blend for Better has its origins from Lavazza's deepest values, values from which many projects, processes and activities have come to life, that enable the responsible production of excellent quality coffee. With an ambitious goal: the achievement of some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
