Lavazza and Wimbledon: a winning doubles team until 2025

After two years of restrictions, we are pleased to be part of the Wimbledon tennis tournament again as it returns to full capacity. With our global Lavazza brand, we offer the unique Italian coffee experience to thousands of fans who will be flocking to the storied stands at the British tennis tournament. But that’s not all, because this year we are extending our partnership with Wimbledon until 2025, in recognition of our decade-long ties with great tennis.

 

We invite everyone who is unable to watch the matches live to meet us just a stone’s throw from Regent Street at our first Flagship Store outside Italy, which was officially opened last September and confirms our appetite for investment in the UK, a key market in our international growth strategy.

To mark the occasion, we have decided to bring to the Tournament a unique coffee experience inspired by sustainability, a cornerstone of Lavazza Group’s business strategy,” said Lavazza Group Vice President Marco Lavazza.

Being part of the Wimbledon tournament is also an opportunity for us to talk about our #BlendForBetter commitment to sustainability, as well as the 32 sustainable development projects launched through the Lavazza Foundation in 20 countries, with over 136 thousand beneficiaries. The initiatives that testify to our commitment to sustainability include the use of 100% renewable energy in the Group’s factories in the UK, Italy, France and Canada; the recovery of 95% of industrial waste; and the recyclability of 65% of the entire Group’s product packaging. 

 

 

Our ties with sport

 

 

For us, sport is the ideal vehicle to tell the story of our passion for excellence: the renewal of our partnership with Wimbledon follows on from the extension to 2025 of our collaboration with the Roland-Garros tournament. Both partnerships originate in Lavazza’s unwavering support for the world of international tennis and form part of a broader framework of sponsorships with top-level sporting events. In the UK, Lavazza also partners with Royal Ascot, the world’s oldest and most famous horse race, and with the Arsenal men’s and women’s football teams, extending the experience of Italian coffee excellence to fans of other sports.
